New: Castapp Showcase - the marketplace for the performing arts industry

Castapp now has a marketplace

We've added a new feature to Castapp: Showcase. A classifieds marketplace where performers and service providers from the performing arts industry can present their offerings – right where the target audience already is.

You can find Showcase via the "Showcase" menu item or directly at castapp.pro/showcase.

What's it about?

Showcase brings supply and demand together. If you're looking for a coach, need a band for an event or a photographer for new headshots – you'll find it here. And if you have something to offer yourself, you'll reach over 45,000 registered performers and thousands of daily visitors.

It's divided into six categories: Talents & Acts, Teaching & Coaching, Workshops & Courses, Services for Performers, Products & Equipment, and Casting & Audition. On top of that, there's a regional filter ranging from individual cities to countries all the way to "Europe" and "Worldwide".

Who is this for?

If you teach workshops, offer coaching, are bookable as an act, rent out rehearsal rooms or provide services like headshot photography or vocal coaching – then Showcase was built for you. You reach exactly the people looking for what you offer: professional performers from musical theatre, theatre, dance, singing and all other professional categories on Castapp.

Instead of scattering your offering across social media and hoping it reaches the right people, you place it where the industry already spends its time.

What can a listing do?

Each listing has up to five images, a description, a category and a region. You can display prices, link to external booking pages and have your offering highlighted as "Featured". Listings appear both in search and on the Showcase homepage.

Why Showcase?

Castapp has been the place where digital casting happens – structured, without email applications, with clear processes for both sides. That doesn't change. Regular castings on Castapp continue to run exclusively through verified publishers with professional backgrounds.

But not every casting runs through a publisher. Small theatres, independent groups, production companies without their own Castapp account, directors looking for a project – they had no place on the platform until now. With the "Casting & Audition" category in Showcase, we're changing that. Now anyone can publish a casting or audition and directly reach the performers registered on Castapp.

The difference: Showcase castings are listings, not structured casting processes. They work like classifieds – with a description, contact option and regional assignment. Anyone who needs the full digital casting workflow continues to use the publisher area.

And the performing arts industry is about more than castings. Performers are constantly looking for training, coaches, equipment, bookable acts for their own projects. Providers are looking for a way to reach exactly this audience. Showcase closes that gap. No new portal, no additional account – simply a new section on the platform you already use.
